For registered candidates, the National Testing Agency issues the NEET Dress Code. The details are included in the official information brochure provided by the examination authority. When appearing for the examination, this specific dress code must be followed.
NEET 2025 Dress Code for Male Candidates
- According to the NEET Dress Code, the male candidates need to wear half sleeve shirts or t-shirts. Full sleeve shirts are not allowed while the candidates are writing their test.
- The clothes should not be elaborate, embroidered, or with big flap pockets and designed buttons/chains.
- Kurta pyjamas too are not allowed.
- The candidates should wear conventional trousers or pants without baggy pockets.
- The candidates should wear chappals or sandals (with a light sole) as shoes are strictly prohibited in the examination hall.
NEET 2025 Dress Code for Female Candidates
- Female candidates should not wear loud, elaborately embroidered, flashy clothes with brooches or buttons.
- Full-sleeve clothing should not be worn on the examination day.
- It is advised to avoid wearing jeans, palazzo, and leggings on examination day.
- High heels and shoes with thick soles too should be avoided.
- It is advisable to wear sandals and chappals on this day.
- Female candidates should avoid wearing jewellery during the examination.
Customary Dress for NEET 2025 Exam

- Electronic items like mobile phones, earphones, pen drives, microphones, Watches, and Bluetooth devices are not permitted inside the examination hall.
- Packed or unpacked and personal water bottles will not be allowed inside the exam centre. Candidates suffering from diabetes or any similar medical condition will be permitted to carry food, medicines, and a transparent water bottle.
- Pen, pencil, eraser, paper, scales, calculator, geometry box, and log tables are not allowed inside the examination hall.
- Wallets, belts, goggles, caps, accessories, ornaments, and cameras are not allowed.
NEET 2025 Exam Day Guidelines
- The candidates must carry their Admit cards.
- Proforma with the postcard-size photo attached to it.
- Candidates should also carry a passport-size photograph (should be a copy of the photograph which was submitted at the time of registration). It will be attached to the attendance sheet.
- The candidates are required to make necessary arrangements for safeguarding their personal belongings.
- Candidates must be dressed according to the dress code mentioned in the information bulletin available on the official website.
- Candidates must cross-check the roll number mentioned on the admit card with that on the place allotted to them before taking their seat.
